Anti-wrinkle injections using Botulinum Toxin are one of the commonest cosmetic procedures, thanks to them being safe and effective. Botulinum Toxin is a prescription only medication, which may not be suitable for everybody and which should only be administered by a medical professional. At De Novo Medical, we only use premium brand products and that includes Botulinum Toxin (or 'Botox').

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Botulinum Toxin causes a temporary muscle relaxation when it is injected just under the skin using a very fine needle. The toxin works to relax the muscles of the face or neck which would usually contact and form wrinkles. As a result, the muscles can no longer contract and wrinkles no longer appear. With time, even static lines (those which are present at rest) can be smoothed.
